Calculate rent
Fill in everything you know about your item. In the next step, we’ll use a little data magic to tell you how
much you should charge for it.
Name
Include your item’s brand, make and model number, e.g., Canon 550D DSLR camera or Pamlico 100
kayak.
Brand (optional)
Your thing probably has a brand name scratched on the side in a nice font. Fender, or Ray-Ban, or Black &
Decker.
Model (optional)
Does your thing have a more specific model name? A Fender Stratocaster, or a Black & Decker 20V Lithium? If
there’s a specific model number, even better.
Price
Write the original price in $CAD. Don’t include symbols ($) or punctuation (.) and feel free to round off to
the nearest dollar.
Category
If your item fits into multiple categories, select the most fitting one.
Bought in
Select the year your item was born. (e.g., we’d like to know when it was made, not when it came into your
possession. Best guess works.)
Condition
Be generous, but realistic.
Description
Short and simple works great, but tell us what you love about the item.
Address
Where will your item be picked up from? (Might be your home address, or might be a work address or other
location. This is where the item will appear on the map.)
Special instructions
Got any special instructions for the borrower? Maybe you’re only available for pickup on Tuesdays, or you
want to do the hand-off at a coffeeshop or some other public place. Here’s where to say so.
